On Friday, 1/27/2006, The Blank Club was the site of Monkey's 10th Anniversary show. Opening were NVS, FTB, and Firme. There were lots of former members of Monkey in attendance, and the club was packed. This is a slideshow of the stills I took. There is some video which isn't ready for release yet.

Real roots reggae. The CD is super.
ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!
Friday/Saturday 3/10,11 in
International Ska Circus featuring The Skatalites. The Skatalites have only one original member, Doreen Schafer, still with them. This is a chance to see them before she retires after 40+ years of performing. I'll be there.
ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!
I listened to a NPR program about the best of 2005 in pop music. There was no overlap with my picks.
My favorite music events in 2005 were
Slacktone at the Bottom of the Hill opening for the Surf Coasters in March
and
Gogol Bordello at The Blank Club in July
What were yours?
See you down front,
Miles
