The purpose of this blog page is to expose my comings, goings, and doings to the world. I do not know the answer to the question, "Why?"

1977+30
There is a docu-movie about Joe Strummer out. The sound track is on iTunes. 25 songs (some are just snippets of talking). 1.25 hours of sound for only $9.99
There are a number of crap songs, but lots of great songs from The Clash, Rachid Taha, Elvis, Tim Harden, MC5, U-Roy.
Rock the Casbah performed by Rachid Taha is fantastic. I've listened to it repeatedly. It is unbelievably good. It makes me want to pogo and belly dance at the same time, and wave my hand over the head as if I'm a red dot Indian!

Matt testing for his brown belt
Saturday 12/8/2007 Aikido of Silicon Valley Matt did really well. He has gotten so much better in the last year. He is on a whole new level. There is a brief clip of a 3rd degree black belt test/demo at the very end.

Skate and enjoy! ROCKSTEADY
my iTunes library spews forth!
Side 4 of Snap! (The Jam's Greatest Hits) with art

I saw The Jam once, in 1982, at Perkin's Palace in Pasadena. It was great. The 3rd song here, "Town called Malice" is wonderful. I played the 2nd side of their last album, THE GIFT, over and over again to hear it. Most of the text on SNAP! is pretentious, but the photos are interesting. Enjoy!

20071128 Aquabats upclose
It was good, not great. The opening bands were not to my liking, to put it nicely. I went down and sat by the coat check room during the Hunter Revenge set.
The visuals were outstanding. Better than last year. The Aquabats just didn't play enough songs. When they stopped, it seemed like both they and the crowd had lots of energy that hadn't been spent.
I saw several people I know from San Jose Skate shows. That made me happy. I overheard that the ripped and tattooed woman bartender is a world class air rifle marksman and does some kind of show with her dad involving gun.

The end of a song I didn't like, then a nice story. MC Bat Commander has a good sense of humor. Overall, the show wasn't as good as last year. They didn't play as long or hard. Good but not great.
20071128 Aquabats kid toss
This is a tradition at their shows and this was a good one. Good distance and a happy 3 year old who is brave.

My Thanksgiving 2007
I am sure many are wondering...
"How was Miles' Thanksgiving this year?"
"What exactly did he do, and are there any pictures or videos?"
Relax!
