20071128 Aquabats upclose

It was good, not great. The opening bands were not to my liking, to put it nicely. I went down and sat by the coat check room during the Hunter Revenge set.

The visuals were outstanding. Better than last year. The Aquabats just didn't play enough songs. When they stopped, it seemed like both they and the crowd had lots of energy that hadn't been spent.

I saw several people I know from San Jose Skate shows. That made me happy. I overheard that the ripped and tattooed woman bartender is a world class air rifle marksman and does some kind of show with her dad involving gun.

The end of a song I didn't like, then a nice story. MC Bat Commander has a good sense of humor. Overall, the show wasn't as good as last year. They didn't play as long or hard. Good but not great.

20071128 Aquabats kid toss

This is a tradition at their shows and this was a good one. Good distance and a happy 3 year old who is brave.

This was a uber-cool entrance, leading into fashion zombies.
